What is collected
You can sign in with ChatGPT or, when connected, directly with Google. Your chosen provider supplies an account identifier, email, and optional display name. These sign-in methods create separate accounts; matching email addresses are not automatically linked. The site stores your account identifier with nominations, contributions, reports, and campaign inquiries. It stores the text, links, and profile graphics you submit, timestamps, nomination status, and your confirmation of the submission rules. Campaign inquiries include the business email you provide.
What is shown
Only reviewed nominations are eligible to appear on the leaderboard. Nomination headlines, stories, categories, links, profile graphics, and contribution totals may be displayed. Account emails, reports, and campaign inquiries are not displayed on the public board. Committee access is restricted separately from sign-in.
Where it goes
The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites and uses its Cloudflare-backed database and private file storage. ChatGPT authentication is handled by the hosting platform. Direct Google authentication uses Google Identity Services. Google supplies a signed identity token that the server verifies; the token is not retained. The site stores a random, protected session cookie in your browser. Google sessions expire after seven days. Session records contain your Google account identifier, email, display name, and a hashed session reference; expired records are deleted during later sign-in cleanup. Signing out revokes that session. Brief sign-in challenges and hashed network identifiers help prevent replay and excessive attempts; expired records are removed during later sign-in cleanup. Google sign-in only requests basic identity, not access to Gmail, Drive, contacts, or other Google content. When enabled, Stripe-hosted checkout handles card details; this site stores contribution amounts, payment references, and payment/refund/dispute status, not card numbers. This version does not send marketing emails or use advertising tracking pixels. Hosting providers may process technical logs under their own terms.
Local drafts and links
A nomination draft may be stored temporarily in this browser tab to preserve it during sign-in. External nominee links and the optional “Share on X” button take you to other services governed by their own privacy policies.
Requests
Use a nomination’s report button to request review or removal of your published content. For data-access, correction, or deletion requests, email support@dumbestalive.com. We may need to verify ownership before acting. Submitted content and associated account records remain stored until reviewed for deletion; automatic deletion of those records is not currently implemented. Removal from the public board does not erase underlying records. We may retain records needed to resolve reports, payment disputes, or legal obligations.
